Sleeve resections in central tumors is a surgical method preferred over pneumonectomy owing to its parenchyma-sparing features. With the increasing surgical experience and developing technology in recent years, sleeve resections can be performed using the video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery method. However, these resections are technically challenging and require significant experience. In this review, we discuss sleeve resections with video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery in the light of the literature.
