METHODS: We conducted a cross-sectional online survey of randomly selected parents (≥18 years old y) >1 y after their child's CR/DH at ≤3 y (2017-2021). Parents completed decision regret scale (DRS) on: their child's surgery, most recent/current romantic relationship, most recent leased/purchased car and most recent purchased meal. DRS was also compared to parents whose children had non-penile urology procedures in an earlier arm of this study (orchiopexy, ureteral reimplant, pyeloplasty). DRS scores range 0-100. Higher scores indicate higher DR. Parents reported if they would make the same choice (yes/no). Nonparametric statistics were performed. RESULTS: We surveyed 51 CR parents (median age 33 y, 76% mothers) and 52 DH parents (median age 31 y, 85% mothers). Median child age at surgery was CR 1.4 y and DH 0.8 y.DR significantly varied between decisions (p60 would choose differently (100%, 15/15). CONCLUSIONS: Parental DR varied between surgical and nonmedical decisions. It was lowest after penile surgery. DR after penile and non-penile pediatric urological surgery is similar. Non-zero DRS scores do not necessarily indicate parents would make a different choice.
