An IOT based fire detection and alert system is presented for monitoring forest fires remotely. Here, a certain environment is watched over around-the-clock, and the user is informed in the event of any fatal circumstances. The temperature and the presence of smoke are the two variables being continuously tracked here. This work employs a NodeMCU and other sensors to detect and measure numerous physical characteristics that can increase during a fire-related incident. The ESP8266 WiFi module is built into the NodeMCU IOT-based controller board. A temperature sensor LM35 is used to measure temperature and a gas sensor MQ6 is used to detect the presence of smoke since it can identify and measure any carbon-based gas, including CO2, which smoking creates. This module can be used in any location for monitoring activities.
