Organizational and Legal Measures in the Solid Municipal Waste Handling Sphere in the Russian Federation

The article notes that at the moment in the Russian Federation there are serious omissions in the field of disposal of solid household/municipal waste. The government is concerned about the environmental condition of the country and makes strategic decisions for accounting and safe disposal of waste, however, not all government directives are implemented, which leads to environmental pollution and disruption of the ecological balance. The article discusses the possibility of strengthening control over the sorting, removal and disposal of solid household waste. The need for a timely solution to the problems of lawmaking, law enforcement and legal implementation in the field of solid waste disposal in accordance with regulatory legal acts is substantiated.
