Objective: The objective of this study is to compare the results obtained from the detection of MTBC (Mycobacterium tuberculosis Complex) and drug resistances between two commercial molecular methods, phenotypic Drug Susceptibility Testing (DST) and whole-genome sequencing. Materials and methods: Clinical samples positive for MTBC were selected. Identification and study of mutations associated with rifampicin and isoniazid resistance were carried out using 2 commercial molecular techniques and phenotypic DST, using critical concentration in liquid medium. In parallel, the analysis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex genome was performed by sequencing complete genomes.
