Several prior studies have highlighted the potential benefits of docetaxel-based neoadjuvant chemohormonal therapy. However, the scarcity of large randomized controlled trials with clinically meaningful end points on chemohormonal therapy for locally advanced disease limits the availability of high-level evidence. Of note, high-risk, locally advanced prostate cancer represents a large heterogenous group, necessitating a comprehensive understanding and investigation of distinct subgroups and genetic factors in future trials. Additionally, given significant toxicity of chemotherapeutic approaches, careful consideration and thorough evaluation of eligible patients are imperative before implementation. The forthcoming exploration of novel hormonal agents in neoadjuvant treatment settings might also hold promise for further advancements in this field. REFERENCE 1.
