The European Dependable Computing Conference, EDCC has reached its 19th edition.EDCC is a major event for researchers and practitioners coming from all over the world and working in the areas of analysis, development, and assessment of dependable and secure computer systems.This year is a somewhat special edition, as the conference moved its traditional September schedule to April, and I'm particularly honored to have acted as the Program Committee Chair of the first EDCC with this new schedule held in Leuven, Belgium, since the last one held in Zaragoza, Spain in September 2022.This year we received 56 submissions from 21 countries.The review process was thorough, following the tradition of EDCC, and progressed in two phases.In the first phase, each paper received at least 3 reviews from Program Committee members, composed of 53 research and industrial members from 18 countries from Europe, North and South America, Middle East, Asia, and Australia.At the end of this phase, an on-line discussion of reviews started followed by a twoday virtual PC meeting.The meeting was attended remotely by most PC members, complemented by on-line discussions that had beforehand that helped to finalize the decisions.The process was very selective and led to 12 regular papers being accepted, including 2 practical experience reports, 6 regular papers conditionally accepted after shepherding, including 2 practical experience reports, plus 9 short papers.The 18 total regular papers accepted this year led to an acceptance rate of 32%.The selected papers range over a wide number of aspects and have been organized into 6 sessions, covering different dependability hot topics such as dependable artificial intelligence, reliable and secure microservices, and dependable industrial embedded systems.
