Translation of Linguistic Terms and the Challenge of their Unification

Despite the efforts that have been made in order to achieve an accurate translation of terms in general and the linguistic term in particular, the beholder of the proposed translations notices a clear disturbance in them. The present paper, based on a study of a unified dictionary of linguistic terms, tends to discuss the problems of standardization of linguistic terms and aims to highlight the importance of adopting a clear translation methodology that tries to bring languages closer together while preserving the specificity of the Arabic phonological and morphological linguistic system.
