In contrast to the negative stereotypical portrayals of Arab women in traditional media, this study investigates the self-presentation strategies employed by Arab women in feminist podcasts that utilize storytelling. The research adopted a mixed method of narrative analysis and qualitative content analysis, and based on Self-Presentation Theory and Narrative Paradigm. The research analyzed 131 episodes of the Qissataha El-Qaseera podcast, produced by Dubai based Akhbar Alaan. The findings reveal that storytelling in feminist podcasts empowers Arab women to craft and project positive self-images, utilizing assertive strategies for gaining social approval. The study also identifies defensive self-presentation strategies as a response to societal pressures, aiming to circumvent disapproval and rejection. Ultimately, the research underscores storytelling's potency in feminist podcasts as a tool for challenging entrenched societal views and reducing the stereotyping of women’s roles.
