UNIVERSITY In this publication, the authors plan to begin to highlight the research experience and relevant results obtained by them in the process of modernizing a number of works of laboratory practice in physics based on modern technologies and current pedagogical challenges to the educational process of studying physics in universities. A special place in this publication is devoted to the problems of modernizing educational physical experiment with modern technical means, which are presented in a laboratory workshop in physics at a technical university. The constant need for constant improvement of the material and technical base of educational institutions, the introduction of technical teaching aids and the modernization of laboratory work was revealed. This is important to ensure effective training of engineering specialists equipped with modern knowledge and practical skills. Taking into account the need to train a competitive specialist, it is necessary to note the need for the fundamentalization of engineering education, which requires the study of the laws of phenomena, the formation of analytical and synthetic ideas, as well as the development of systemic thinking. Physical laboratories at universities are often equipped with old, obsolete equipment that does not correspond to the modern level of ICT and modern physical experiments. Such a situation determines the high relevance of research not only on the development of new ones, but also on the modernization of existing laboratory work on the basis of ICT and the study of new methodological possibilities, which ensures the process of such modernization. This article examines the features of the application of modern ICT and pedagogical ideas for implementation in the educational process of physics at universities, the laboratory work "Research of an oscillating circuit using an oscilloscope". In the process of modernization, in particular, new information possibilities were proposed for saving, reproducing, processing, and presenting the results of the corresponding educational experiment, which obviously contributes to increasing the level of conducting such an educational physical experiment
