This article presents the influence of the scheme-regime situation on the formation of nodal prices in the calculation model of the Russian electric power system. When a power transmission line in the Ural power system is disconnected, zero prices are formed in the Murmansk region power system in the united power system of the Northwest. The disconnection of the power transmission line leads to an excess of active power flow along the B.-O. cross–section, as a result of which the power consumption of part of the Murmansk region's power system is covered by cheap generation - by hydroelectric power plants. The paper identifies possible control actions that will ensure a more optimal level of day-ahead market prices for both suppliers and consumers of electric energy.
