Analysis on the Color Design of City Architecture Image -Kunming, Yunnan Province as the Center-

The research on color orientation of characteristic urban landscape is of great significance to large-scale urban planning and construction. Especially in the rapidly developing cities, cities are faced with the problem of how to form their own characteristics in appearance. Therefore, it is of great significance to correctly grasp the location of urban landscape characteristics. In this paper, Kunming City is selected as the research object. The research method first focuses on the color analysis of buildings in Kunming urban area, conducts on-site investigation and empirical research in three areas: Renmin Road, historical protection area and newly built residential buildings, and finally summarizes the colors suitable for Kunming buildings.The findings of this study are as follows: the color of urban buildings is a complete color system, and each building type has its corresponding architectural form and color expression. By analyzing the color of urban buildings in Kunming, China, it is found that in order to pursue the embodiment of modern, fashionable and individual architecture, most residential buildings are similar in color and lack of change, which not only ignores the regional cultural characteristics of the city and loses its individuality.
