In November 2019, China's Ministry of Education and other seven departments issued the Opinions on Strengthening and Improving the professional ethics and competence of teachers in the New Era, and in April 2021, the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on Carrying out Special Education on Teachers' Ethics in the Education System, which launched a comprehensive guidance and deployment for the professional ethics and competence of teachers in China, further strengthening and improving the professional ethics and competence of teachers in colleges and universities. It has become an urgent task without delay. This paper mainly focuses on the analysis and path of the professional ethics and competence of teachers in colleges and universities. Centering on the discipline inspection and supervision of punishment intensity, system mechanism and understanding concept of three aspects, it constructs the exploration path of "rectification mechanism", "guarantee mechanism" and "education mechanism", laying a theoretical foundation for the research on the professional ethics and competence of teachers in colleges and universities.
