The article is devoted to analyzing the challenges and changes in the field of education in Ukraine against the backdrop of ongoing Russian aggression. Significant attention is paid to the role of higher education institutions in shaping the moral, economic, and social priorities of youth in times of war. The authors examine the specifics of educational and educational activities of Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (BSPU), which operates as a displaced institution, focusing on extracurricular work at the Faculty of Preschool, Special, and Social Education. The main emphasis is on the importance of educational work of higher education, supported by an analysis of recent research and publications, state documents, as well as the impact of war on the mentality and needs of students. The article highlights the importance of creating conditions for self-development and self-assertion of students, the formation of professional and personal qualities of future specialists who will be able to contribute to the post-war reconstruction of the country. The faculty’s response to the challenges of wartime is highlighted, including methods of supporting student youth, resuming the educational process, and adapting to new conditions. The authors emphasize the importance of collective spirit, psychological support, and social adaptation of students in wartime, offering recommendations for organizing effective youth policies in higher education institutions.
