This research introduces a compact microstrip patch antenna featuring a circular design, leveraging the coplanar waveguide port (CPW) on an FR-4 substrate. The antenna exhibits a substantial fractional bandwidth of 74. 714% spanning 4. 276GHz to 9. 376GHz, showcasing impressive performance. At 5. 776GHz, it records an exceptional return loss (S₁1) of 52. 4 dB, indicating high efficiency. Notably, the antenna resonates at both 5. 776GHz and 7. 33GHz, manifesting two distinct resonance frequencies. At 10GHz, the proposed antenna demonstrates remarkable characteristics, boasting a peak gain of 5. 979. 2dBi and high directivity reaching 6. 62dBi. These attributes underscore its efficiency in signal reception and transmission. The antenna's compact dimensions, measuring 26x 26x1. 6mm 3, align with modern space-saving design requirements while delivering substantial performance. Moreover, observations highlight the antenna's bidirectional radiation field features, contributing to its versatile functionality in various applications. This research underscores the antenna's robust capabilities across a wide frequency range, emphasizing its potential for diverse wireless communication systems.
