This study analyzed the characteristics of housing conditions and housing preferences for full-time dually employed family with children living in the Tokyo metropolitan area. As a result, the study revealed that there are differences in housing conditions such as household income and housing expenditure, as well as housing preferences such as housing size and transportation convenience, depending on the type of building and housing tenure. However, households value the convenience of childcare facilities regardless of the type of building and housing tenure.
