The field of Civil Engineering is one of the oldest and most fundamental disciplines, providing the foundational structures that support human society. Each structure has a defined service life and is expected to remain structurally sound throughout its operational period. However, as time passes, these structures inevitably show signs of aging, leading to various forms of deterioration such as cracks, detachment, delamination, and corrosion. These deteriorative processes cause significant damage to the structures.Fortunately, these compromised structures can be revitalized and strengthened through the application of diverse materials and advanced repair techniques. This paper aims to present the current condition of concrete structures and identify key areas that require improvement during their operational phase to ensure sustainable growth. The focus is on the strategies of Repair, Rehabilitation, and Retrofitting, which play a vital role in extending the life cycle of these structures and maintaining their integrity.
