This research paper exploits the role of Internet of Things(IoT) technology in the agriculture sector. IOT in combination with big data can help the farmers to monitor their crops in real time and make future decisions based on data collected. The paper also discusses different types of sensors used in crops. The opportunities and challenges faced in the agriculture sector while using IoT are also discussed. IoT can help reduce the burden on farmers and enhance productivity while consuming less time.
