The process and methodology of the evaluation of the influence of the significant volume of the new building construction on the transport traffic in Sofia is investigated. The reason for these evaluations is to achieve better planning, transport service and sustainable development of the city. The experience of the development of the local normative framework in Sofia for the realization of these evaluations is discussed.
