In the contemporary period, women are excelling in every sector. They engage in business, science, technology, family care, and other activities. Despite their earnings w money), the most of them lack economic power at this time. A married woman's income aids in family leadership. The majority of middle class women's salaries go towards supporting the growth of their families. However, they frequently lack the ability to make financial decisions in their lives. Thus, this essay aims to investigate women's economic empowerment in India. Economic empowerment initiatives aim to remove obstacles disproportionately affecting women, such as limited access to education, social norms, and unequal workforce opportunities. However, challenges persist in India, such as limited credit, property rights, and cultural norms. To maintain and expand these programs, a multifaceted strategy is needed, including strengthening legal frameworks, increasing financial services, investing in education, encouraging gender-sensitive business practices, and fostering a supportive environment.
