The development of low-cost materials for hydrogen production is essential for the widespread adoption of sustainable energy technologies. This study demonstrates the viability of low-cost Zn95%Mn5% alloy cathodes, synthesized via sintering, for efficient alkaline water electrolysis. XRD analysis confirmed mixed oxide phases (Zn1−xMnxO, MnOx), while SEM/EDS revealed a homogeneous particle morphology with non-uniform Zn/Mn/O distribution. Electrolysis tests under variable conditions showed a direct correlation between elevated temperature and enhanced hydrogen production rates.
