This study examines unemployment trends and the impact of policy interventions across five Central Asian countries-Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistanfrom 2009 to 2023. Utilizing secondary data from the World Bank and the International Labour Organization, this comparative analysis identifies patterns and factors influencing unemployment rates. The results highlight significant variations in unemployment trends, with Kazakhstan and Tajikistan showing notable decreases due to successful economic reforms. Conversely, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan face rising unemployment, underscoring economic challenges. Uzbekistan's unemployment remains stable, indicating stagnation. The study recommends tailored economic strategies, including job creation, economic diversification, and vocational training, to enhance labor market outcomes. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers aiming to achieve economic stability and growth in Central Asia.
