The paper deals with the operative hysteroscopic intravascular absorption – OHIA, which can occur during hysteroscopic procedures. The paper presents a clinical demonstration of a complication in the form of pulmonary edema and hyponatrenia after performing a hysteroresectoscopy with removal of the endometrial polyp in a 67-year-old patient. The methods of treatment are described. Possible causes and risk factors of the OHIA-syndrome development are analyzed
