This paper analyzes the first phase of Stanislao Nievo's narrative work and identifies the poetic reasons that led to the creation of Literary Parks in the Nineties. The second part of this study hypothesizes some theoretical and philosophical models useful to understand the reception of literary places and literary parks. The analysis involves published novels and unpublished documents found in two archives dedicated to Stanislao Nievo: the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale in Rome, and the Archivio degli Scrittori Veneti “Cesare De Michelis” in Padua.
