User story showcasing a real-world researcher's experience with data sharing in the Zenodo repository. This case study shows how Prism, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine's InvenioRDM‑powered repository, supports transparent genomic research through the work of Iryna Boiko, Selma Metaane, and Hank Seifert. By analyzing more than 15,000 Neisseria gonorrhoeae genomes, the team uncovered that many publicly available sequences reflect lab‑adapted, nonpiliated variants. Sharing their raw data, Python and R scripts, and protocols through Prism ensures long‑term reuse, supports NIH compliance, and enables researchers studying other pathogens to better detect and address cultivation bias.
