This article examines art as a factor in shaping aesthetic views. It analyzes the cultural categories of "art," "aesthetics," and "beauty." It presents scientific data on the importance of art in shaping a person's worldview. Here, the definition of art was considered within the context of the development of aesthetic perception. Aesthetics was identified as a general branch of philosophy. The place of art within aesthetic science was defined.
