Background: Angiomyolipoma is a benign mesenchymal tumour that is commonly found in the kidney but can rarely occur in the liver. The vast majority of angiomyolipoma’s occur sporadically, and less than 10% are associated with tuberous sclerosis. Histologically, it is composed of three components in varying proportions: adipose tissue, smooth muscle, and blood vessels.
