Mobile technologies have become increasingly important tools for agricultural extension services in Burkina Faso. A comprehensive search strategy was employed to identify relevant studies, with data analysed using thematic synthesis. Mobile technology interventions showed an average improvement in farmer knowledge by 25% (95% CI: 18-32%) compared to traditional extension methods. Mobile technologies have the potential to significantly enhance agricultural extension services, particularly among remote and underserved farmers. Further research should focus on long-term impact evaluations and cost-effectiveness analyses.
