The adoption of biogas digesters as a waste management solution in Somali villages in Senegal has been limited due to various socio-economic and environmental factors. Theoretical synthesis will be employed through literature review and conceptual analysis to identify key factors influencing the adoption and sustainability of biogas digesters in Somali villages. The theoretical framework highlights the importance of cultural adaptation, economic incentives, and community involvement in enhancing the sustainability of biogas digester projects in Somali villages. Future research should focus on developing culturally sensitive educational programmes and exploring innovative financing mechanisms to improve adoption rates and long-term sustainability.
