Abstract The Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme is a flagship initiative by the Government of India to formalize and enhance the competitiveness of micro food processing units. Karnataka, with a vibrant agricultural economy and a strong base of food-based micro-enterprises, has emerged as one of the leading states in implementing the scheme. This paper focus on Physical and Financial Performance of PMFME Scheme in Karnataka.To identify key challenges faced by micro food enterprises in accessing scheme benefits.To suggest policy measures for strengthening the performance of the PMFME Scheme in Karnataka.This study is based on secondary data sourced from the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India, the PMFME Scheme Dashboard, and the area cover on Karnataka state only. In addition, qualitative insights have been drawn from published success stories and case studies related to beneficiaries of the scheme. To analyze the data, basic statistical tools such as percentages, graphs, and charts have been employed.
