Rwanda has undergone significant land law reforms aimed at enhancing tenure security for its population, particularly women and vulnerable groups. Qualitative data was collected through semi-structured interviews and participatory observation from various stakeholders including farmers and community leaders in rural areas of Rwanda. Interviews revealed that while some reforms have improved access to land for women, disparities persist with regard to inheritance rights and the ability to secure long-term leases. The study highlights the need for continued advocacy and policy adjustments to ensure equitable land tenure security in Rwanda. Policy makers should prioritise inclusive consultations and support mechanisms that strengthen women's land rights within existing legal frameworks.
