As a 90-year-old, I qualify as an old person. I have had a very long, rich, creative, and productive life. I had a private psychoanalytic practice for more than 50 years, analyzing many patients. I wrote over 100 papers and contributed to important changes in the structure and procedures of professional organizations with which I was affiliated. For 10 years, I edited the most prestigious journal in psychoanalysis, the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association (JAPA). More recently, I started a new journal, The International Journal of Controversial Discussions. I created a book publishing company, International Psychoanalytic Books, and we have published almost 300 books. I have published my own papers in six collections and a memoir as well.
