This piece revisits Canadas Roadmap for Open Science (2020), which was released by the Office of the Chief Science Advisor and initially addressed within the Open Scholarship Policy Observatory by Caroline Winter (2020). Her work is built upon here by summarizing the Roadmap and considering it in todays context, five years since publication. Some previously identified limitations are discussed, as well as some future directions.
