These findings demonstrate that focal stimulation induces region-specific effects on global brain state dynamics, providing a mechanistic foundation for neuromodulation strategies to harness site-specific effects on global brain states. Our findings can be leveraged for developing personalized targeted treatments for neuropsychiatric disorders.
