It gives me immense pride and satisfaction to reflect upon the resounding success of the Golden Jubilee National Conference of the Indian Society of Periodontology, held in New Delhi from 17th to 20th December 2025. This historic congregation marked not only the completion of five decades of ISP, but also reaffirmed the Society’s stature as a globally respected academic body committed to excellence in periodontal science, education, and clinical care. The Golden Jubilee conference witnessed an overwhelming participation of more than 3,000 delegates, including senior academicians, clinicians, postgraduate students, and researchers from across the country, along with a distinguished cohort of international faculty representing Europe, the United States, Japan, and the Middle East. The presence of globally renowned speakers such as Dr. Alp Kantarci, Dr. Philip Preshaw, Dr. Leonardo Trombelli, Dr. Raffaele Cavalcanti, Dr. Georgios Kotsakis, Dr. Stephen Meraw, Dr. Hiroyasu Shimizu, and several other international stalwarts added exceptional depth and global relevance to the scientific deliberations. The scientific programme, spread across multiple halls over four days, comprised keynote lectures, orations, symposia, panel discussions, focused implant and regenerative sessions, and hands on workshop interfaces, reflecting both foundational science and contemporary clinical advancements. The breadth and quality of discussions underscored the growing influence of Indian periodontology on the global academic stage. A defining highlight of the conference was the extraordinary academic engagement of postgraduate students and young researchers, with the presentation of over 400 scientific papers and posters across basic research, clinical research, implant dentistry, preventive periodontology, and case reports. The high scientific merit of these presentations, along with the competitive award sessions, reinforced ISP’s strong research culture and its commitment to nurturing future leaders of the specialty. The Golden Jubilee conference was further distinguished by several landmark releases and initiatives, including the Golden Jubilee Commemorative Postal Stamp, the release of Oral Health Instructions in Braille, reinforcing ISP’s commitment to inclusive oral healthcare, and the formal announcement and recognition of the second batch of ISP MDS Research Grant Scholars. These initiatives reflect the Society’s vision of combining academic excellence with social responsibility and research empowerment. Equally commendable was the flawless organization and execution of this mega academic event. The seamless coordination between the Organizing Committee, Scientific Committee, office bearers, and volunteers ensured a professionally enriching and memorable experience for all delegates. On behalf of the Indian Society of Periodontology, I express my deep appreciation and sincere gratitude to the Organizing Chairperson, Organizing Secretary, Scientific Chairperson, committee members, faculty, chairpersons, sponsors, partners, and every ISP member who contributed to the grand success of this historic Golden Jubilee celebration. As we move forward beyond this milestone year, the deliberations, resolutions, and academic momentum generated during this conference will continue to guide ISP in strengthening research, fostering global collaborations, enhancing postgraduate training, and advancing patient-centered periodontal care. With pride in our legacy and confidence in the path ahead, I thank all members for being part of this remarkable journey. Long live ISP…!!!
