Rwanda is implementing climate-smart farming techniques to enhance agricultural productivity and resilience in smallholder farmers, who form a significant portion of the country's population. The study employed a mixed-methods approach including surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews to assess farmer perceptions and programme effectiveness. A substantial proportion (72%) of participating farmers reported adopting the recommended climate-smart practices as part of their training programmes. The workforce training programmes on climate smart farming techniques have shown promising results in terms of adoption rates and positive performance outcomes among smallholder farmers in Rwanda. Further research should focus on long-term sustainability strategies to ensure the sustained application of these practices by smallholder farmers. climate-smart farming, workforce training, smallholder farmers, Rwanda
