The prenucleation clusters of ZnSe magic-size clusters mimic natural hydrolase
Puntos clave
Natural hydrolase mimic activity is observed in prenucleation clusters of ZnSe magic-size clusters, emphasizing their potential.
Key evidence indicates that these clusters can effectively replicate the enzymatic properties of carbonic anhydrase.
Analysis reveals the structural similarities between magic-size clusters and natural hydrolases, providing insights into catalytic behavior.
This study highlights a novel approach towards enzyme mimicking, which may lead to innovative applications in biocatalysis.
Resumen
Inspired by the precise atomic composition of magic-size clusters (MSCs) and the structure of natural hydrolase, the prenucleation clusters of ZnSe MSCs are found to act as novel carbonic anhydrase mimics.
