Puntos clave
Photocatalytic degradation of sulfamethoxazole is significantly enhanced with aluminum stimulation.
The experiments revealed a degradation rate exceeding 90% within 60 minutes under visible light.
Using layered BiOCl nanosheets as a catalyst, effective photocatalytic activity was achieved in the presence of aluminum.
The findings indicate potential for improving treatment methods for pharmaceutical pollutants in water.
