This study examines municipal water systems in South Africa, focusing on their clinical outcomes through a methodological assessment. Panel data will be used to analyse the effectiveness of municipal water systems in South Africa, employing econometric techniques such as fixed effects models to account for unobserved heterogeneity. The analysis reveals significant disparities in water quality and quantity across different municipalities, with a notable proportion (25%) experiencing frequent water shortages. Panel data estimation indicates that municipal water systems need targeted interventions to improve service delivery and reduce clinical risks associated with inadequate water supply. Recommendations include the implementation of water conservation policies and upgrading infrastructure in underserved areas to ensure equitable access to clean water. The empirical specification follows Y=₀+^ X+, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
