Archaeological monitoring and recording of all groundworks as specified in the project brief and wsi. Archaeological monitoring and recording took place at Bouchiers Hall, Kelvedon Road, Messing, Essex during groundworks for the construction of a rear extension. The development site is located within the Messing Conservation Area and Bouchiers Hall is a Grade II listed 15th- to 16th-century timber-framed house. Groundworks revealed a medieval ditch which produced a small assemblage of pottery dating from the mid-12th to the later 14th century.
