The development of participatory maps favours bringing geography teaching closer to students' realities, enabling them to analyse geographical space from a critical perspective.The aim of this article is to demonstrate the potential of Participatory 3D Mapping (P3DM) for teaching Geography in basic education, helping with the understanding and teaching of themes such as flooding and flood, which are part of the students' experience.Methodologically, the research is an adaptation of P3DM, aimed at teaching Geography.The project lasted approximately two months and was divided into six stages, including choosing the target audience, theoretical debate, making the model, inserting and validating the data.The research showed valid results, with the students taking part in the whole process of building the three-dimensional model that was used for mapping,
