Dendrobium huoshanense displays a lithophytic habit and is mainly distributed across the Dabieshan, Huangshan, Longhushan, and Funiushan mountain ranges in eastern China. Dendrobium catenatum (synonym: D. officinale) is distantly related to D. huoshanense, exhibits both epiphytic and lithophytic habits, and likely originated from the South Yungui Plateau before dispersing to eastern China. This project reported the Group RAD data, re-sequencing data and out-group data. These findings elucidate the evolutionary role of unidirectional introgression in the environmental adaptation of perennial herbaceous plants.
