Digital transformation has been identified as a critical driver of economic growth in various sectors globally, including retail. In North Africa, particularly in Togo, digital technologies are increasingly reshaping traditional business models and consumer behaviors. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis to provide a comprehensive understanding of digital transformation impacts in the retail sector. This theoretical framework provides a foundational understanding of digital transformation dynamics in the North African retail sector, highlighting both opportunities and barriers to further development. Future research should focus on developing targeted policies to enhance internet infrastructure and reduce transaction costs for small retailers. Additionally, fostering digital literacy among consumers can accelerate adoption of digital technologies.
