Ecological civilization education venues, as important places for promoting Xi Jinping's thought on eco-civilization, showcasing ecological construction achievements and ecological civilization practices, have important strategic significance for promoting the effectiveness of building a beautiful China, enhancing the ecological civilization literacy and environmental science literacy of the entire population. Based on survey data from 541 venues across the country, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the major challenges faced by ecological civilization education venues across various regions in China during their high-quality development process. On this basis, a multi-level and actionable countermeasure system is proposed from four dimensions: clarifying functional positioning and improving institutional design, promoting cross-departmental collaboration and diversified co-construction, building platforms for capacity enhancement and resource sharing, and innovating the forms and content of publicity and education. The aim is to provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for the planning, construction, and long-term operation of ecological civilization education venues in China, thereby fostering their high-quality development and further enhancing public ecological civilization awareness and environmental science literacy.
