Efficient power distribution systems are crucial for reliable electricity supply in Tanzania's rural areas. A Bayesian hierarchical model was employed to analyse data from PDE systems across different regions in Tanzania. Uncertainty quantification was incorporated using robust standard errors. The analysis revealed an average efficiency gain of 15% when applying the hierarchical model, indicating significant potential for improvement. The Bayesian hierarchical model provides a nuanced approach to measuring efficiency gains in PDE systems, offering practical insights and guiding future improvements. Pilot implementation of this method should be considered to validate its effectiveness before broader adoption.
