Hydrazine derivatives are widely used in various research fields, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, polymers, and industrial dyes, as well as serving as precursors in organic synthesis. Given the importance of this scaffold and the growing interest in fluorine's ability to confer specific properties on molecules, the synthesis of fluorinated hydrazines has attracted considerable attention from researchers. This review highlights the various routes to the preparation of fluorinated hydrazines, thereby promoting the exploration of innovative methods for the synthesis of new N-fluorinated hydrazines. Their synthesis mainly involves synthetic routes such as organometallic, organocatalytic, and photocatalytic.
