This article presents a teaching and learning model based on data from an educational project with 151 informants, based on simulation-based training for health science students. Pedagogical problems that emerged have been used in combination with Pettersen’s (2005) project model and the creative problem solving (CPS) model to develop a new model where creative methods as well as divergent and convergent thinking are included in iterative processes to enhance innovative thinking and problem solving in the models four phases. The new model can be used in teaching, development and management in organizations, in addition to civil protection. In this article we pose the following research question: How do participants experience the learning process in an educational project using creative methods in high-fidelity simulation scenarios? The model focuses on creative and solution-oriented thinking, reflection and action, as well as the activation of tacit and explicit knowledge.
