Human relations are the social foundation of educational institutions. India’s higher education (HE) is quite diverse and amongst the world’s third largest. Human interactions within institutions play a major role in learning outcomes, personal growth, and effectiveness. Over the years, human resources have been viewed as the most important asset in any organization. Human relations and higher education institutions are both necessary; each depends on the other. This paper observes how understanding and strategically managing human elements are critical to organizational success in Indian HEIs. Improving human relations should be regarded as a strategic priority for educational institutional development.
