I am pleased to announce that Dr. Jeanne Cameron Patzkowski has accepted a promotion to Associate Editor of Arthroscopy. Dr. Patzkowski earned her Bachelor of Science at the United States Naval Academy before continuing on to earn her Doctor of Medicine from the Uniformed Services University F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine. She then left Maryland to complete an internship in Orthopedic Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, where she stayed to complete an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at San Antonio Military Medical Center. When she returned to the East Coast, it was for the John A. Feagin Jr. Sports Medicine Fellowship at Keller Army Community Hospital, West Point. To advance her knowledge, she earned a Naval Postgraduate School Distance Learning Certificate in Healthcare Modeling and Simulation. Currently, Dr. Patzkowski serves as an Orthopedic Surgeon at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. She also regularly imparts her knowledge as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Baylor University and Associate Professor of Surgery at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. In addition to her surgical and academic work, she has served as an Orthopedic Consultant to the Office of the Surgeon General of the United States Army since 2022. She also serves as Chair in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at San Antonio Military Medical Center, as well as the Orthopedic Product Line Leader for the San Antonio Market. Dr. Patzkowski consistently holds national positions. Her current roles include First Vice President for the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons and Steering Committee for the Orthopaedic Biologics Registry. Previously, she acted as a Chair of the Emerging Leaders Program Committee for AANA. She has served on the Arthroscopy Editorial Board since 2021. In addition to editorial assistance, she has guided many students through residencies and fellowships, provided combat medics with instruction during deployment in Afghanistan, and currently serves as an Advanced Trauma Life Support Instructor. When she manages to find a little downtime, she enjoys skiing and hiking with her husband and two children.
