Managers' behaviours also have an impact on the success and failure of the organisation. People who become managers in working life are under the influence of the authority and sanction power given to them as well as the responsibilities imposed on them by this duty, and their behaviours may change and they may exhibit behaviours or habits that are not welcomed by the employees working under them. Within the scope of the study, these situations are defined as management diseases. The aim of this study is to analyse management diseases from the perspective of public employees in Türkiye. A qualitative research method was used in the study and phenomenology design was selected from qualitative research designs. Data were collected from 32 volunteer participants through a structured form, and thematic analysis was conducted on 29 valid participant forms. The data analysis revealed four themes: “types of management diseases”, “causes of management diseases”, “consequences of management diseases”, and “methods for combating management diseases”. This study is significant because it emphasizes that managers' attitudes and behaviors can eventually become chronic and turn into a management disease. It identifies the causes and consequences of management diseases and offers recommendations for prevention. The management subject is at the core of the management diseases experienced in public institutions operating in Türkiye. There must be standards for the individuals appointed to management positions and the behaviors expected of them.
